Experienced & skilled System Security and Project Officer needed for a 6 month contract (with possible extension) at a Federal Government Department. You will support the department to deliver on its mission by engaging across the organisation to build a strong security culture and secure working environment. Key Responsibilities:
You will assist in delivering security projects and maintaining the department’s security infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the management of complex cross-divisional projects with interdependent milestones to keep work on track and highlight issues early, while simultaneously administering local projects with a hands-on approach.
- Maintain security equipment for the Department’s properties, including but not limited to centralised intruder and duress alarm monitoring, security systems, key cabinets, security alarms, electronic access control, speed stiles, intruder detection and CCTV systems.
- Assisting in the preparation and management of strategic frameworks to secure the Department’s tenancies, including strategic plans, policies, systems, technologies, procedures, and their associated budgets.
- providing security advice on compliance with specifications and building standards in line with the PSPF and other security guidelines.
- Preparation of reports and briefing papers to assist in planning and supporting certification and accreditation of facility zones.
You will have the following skills:
- Experience in overseeing and understanding the installation and maintenance of enterprise level security systems.
- Project management skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, an ability to show good judgement, think strategically and logically.
- Proven ability to plan and organise work and produce high quality results.
- Flexibility to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities, in a busy team environment, and achieve results.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships, including with colleagues, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience within this Field
- Must Hold NV1 clearance
- Hold certificate or qualification Security operation
