- Non-going role, paying between $102,266-$114,988 + 15.4% super

About the Role
Our client are a well-known ACT federal government organisation based in Canberra City. They are currently seeking an APS6 Finance Officer to come in and work with them on a 12 month temp contract with potential for extension.
Candidates for this role must have:
- NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance (Essential)
- Strong end to end Accounts Payable processing experience
- SAP system knowledge (Desirable)
- Expertise with MS Word and Excel.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead Accounts Payable & P2P Operations Oversee the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay lifecycle, ensuring the accurate reviewing, parking, and posting of invoices while maintaining high standards of data integrity within SAP.
- Contract & Procurement Administration Manage the creation and maintenance of contracts, outline agreements, and purchase orders, ensuring all entries are backed by robust supporting documentation and align with organizational requirements.
- Team Supervision & Mentorship Directly supervise the Accounts Payable team by prioritizing daily workloads, providing technical guidance, and fostering the professional growth of junior staff through dedicated training and support.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Issue Resolution Act as a primary liaison between internal departments and external vendors to resolve complex payment queries, ensuring positive professional relationships and timely dispute resolution.
- Compliance, Reporting & Process Improvement Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant legislation and frameworks; contribute to monthly reporting suites and actively participate in the branch’s continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows.
About You
You will be an experienced Finance Officer in Accounts Payable with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance (Essential)
- Australian Citizenship
- Strong end to end Accounts Payable processing experience
- SAP system knowledge (Desirable)
- Expertise with MS Word and Excel.
