The role: APS6 Capability Instructional Design
Location: Geelong or Richmond ( REGVIC2410)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 12 months (with possible extension)
Pay: $60.26 per hour + super
Hours: Full time with hybrid model
The Ideal candidate will:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in higher education or vocational education, equivalent experience.
- expertise in structural design of programs and course architecture.
- strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience leading projects in large organisations, including government.
- knowledge of compliance and quality assurance standards in education and training.
- proven ability in planning and project management for learning initiatives.
- understanding of instructional design principles and experience building learning resources.
- Ability to evaluate learning programs using frameworks such as the Kirkpatrick model.
- experience working with diverse stakeholders and fostering collaborative relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- designing and developing structured learning programs and course architecture aligned with Agency capability needs.
- leading instructional design projects from planning through to delivery and Evaluation.
- collaborating with stakeholders to ensure learning solutions meet organisational goals and compliance requirements.
- Applying quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in learning resources and programs.
- Managing project timelines, risks, and deliverables effectively.
- Building engaging, accessible learning resources using contemporary instructional design practices.
- Evaluating learning effectiveness using evidence-based models such as Kirkpatrick.
- providing advice and support to internal teams on best practice in instructional design and adult learning.
- contributing to continuous improvement of NDIA learning frameworks and processes.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Formal qualifications in instructional design, education, or related fields.
- Experience in higher education or vocational education environments.
- Project management certification or demonstrated experience managing
- complex projects.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and quality standards in education.
- Experience designing learning for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with evaluation models and data-driven decision-making in learning
