Our client is seeking a dedicated APS5 Project Officer to join their Performance, Quality and National Workload Management branch. This branch plays a vital role in influencing high-quality participant experiences by delivering reporting and insights that drive continuous improvement and agency sustainability.
You will work within a team environment, making independent decisions to organize your workflow while supporting technical and operational tasks.
About your next role
As an APS5 Project Officer, you will undertake moderately complex to complex work under limited supervision. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in project management activities and monitoring program progress against established plans.
- Drafting business cases, executive briefs, and corporate documentation for review.
- Extracting and presenting data using PACE dashboards, SAS, and Microsoft Excel to provide business insights.
- Performing quality checks, trend analysis, and monitoring improvement outcomes.
- Managing workflow routing for business areas across the Agency.
- Providing timely and accurate responses to stakeholder feedback and translating technical jargon into accessible communication.
What you will need to bring
To be successful in this position, you will need a blend of technical proficiency and strong interpersonal skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including power query, pivot tables, and advanced formula functions.
- An understanding of forecasting, statistical modelling, and the ability to apply judgment to make evidence-informed decisions.
- The ability to respond to changing priorities and maintain effectiveness during major changes in work responsibilities.
- High-level communication skills to collaborate with team members and meet customer expectations.
- Desirable experience with PACE, SAP CRM, Salesforce analytics, or JIRA.
Mandatory Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Ability to pass and NDIA screening check and police check
- Comfort working in an open office/hot-desk environment with significant periods of computer-based work.
