Position Purpose
The Data Processing Officer is responsible for the end-to-end processing, validation, and maintenance of organisational data sets. This role ensures data integrity within a fast-paced environment by managing complex information flows, transforming raw data into actionable records, and supporting the technical efficiency of the department’s databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume data processing and validation tasks with a focus on precision and structural integrity.
- Convert, format, and upload data sets across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency and adherence to data governance standards.
- Update and audit computerised databases to prevent duplication and ensure "single source of truth" reliability.
- Prioritise complex processing queues to meet strict agreements.
- Conduct regular data cleansing and reconciliation tasks to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Consult with technical teams and departmental staff to resolve data-related queries and improve input processes.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in high-volume data processing, including an understanding of data validation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex workloads, prioritise competing deadlines, and maintain focus during repetitive, high-detail tasks.
- Advanced competency in Excel and experience working within large-scale systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate data discrepancies and collaborate on technical solutions with team members.
