Randstad is currently recruiting for multiple Customer Service Officers for a role with Queensland State Government. In this role, you will negotiate appropriate actions to recover outstanding and finalising debts. We're looking for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, particularly when managing customer accounts.
This is a high-priority, time-sensitive role with applications closing by the end of the day on Friday 20 March 2026. We are interviewing immediately to confirm an April 2026 start date for an initial 2-month assignment until June 2026, with potential for extension. This is a full-time working week on a rotating roster between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, paying a competitive rate of $51.12 per hour plus super.

Key Responsibilities:
... - Providing a high-quality customer experience, you’ll approach situations with empathy and resilience.
- Effectively manage a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls and interactions regarding complex account and payment matters.
- Apply legislative knowledge to make informed decisions.
- Educate customers of policies and repayment procedures.
- Handle questions and complaints, escalating when needed, and keep accurate records.
Skills/experience required:
- Experience gained within Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, or Sales environments will be highly regarded, specifically in roles focused on Complex Account Management, Conflict Resolution, or Debt Recovery.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex or sensitive situations.
- Demonstrated high-level proficiency in various computer systems and CRM platforms, with an ability to quickly adapt to new technology.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, with a background in working collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Ability to build relationships and effectively engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Proven ability to meet individual and team KPIs in a target-driven professional environment.
- A highly motivated individual, focused on achieving personal goals and actively supporting team success.
- Able to work on rotating shifts Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
- Must be able to pass a criminal history check to be successful for the role.
