About the RoleWe are seeking multiple ALM - IT Field Service Technician L1 (x09 roles) to join our client team on an initial 12-month contract. You will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition for users across Metropolitan and Regional South Australian sites as they upgrade to Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 2024. This role involves both hands-on technical support and comprehensive user assistance.
... Key Responsibilities
Assist users with Windows 11 and Office 2024 Upgrade issues.
Become familiar with documented known issues and upgrade exemption guidelines.
Document any issues, including the capture of screenshots, and enter them into the Issues Register.
Notify the Upgrade Leads as per the agreed escalation process.
Assist users with familiarisation of Windows 11 and Office 2024 user navigation and features.
Experience & Skills
Essential
Basic working knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 2024.
Proven ability to explain technical concepts into simple, friendly, non-technical language.
Proven record of applying processes, referencing knowledge bases, and escalating issues efficiently.
Experience applying documented processes, referring to knowledge bases, and escalating issues according to established procedures.
Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
A valid Driver's License and the ability to travel.
Desirable
Previous experience in a Service desk or IT support environment.
Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Marval).
Understanding of the Windows Update process.
Travel RequirementsThis role requires significant travel and on-site support:
Required to attend different client metropolitan sites on a daily basis.
Required to travel to regional client sites and stay in those locations for the prescribed period of up to 4 days at each location.
Travel, accommodation, and meal allowances will be supplied by the client.
Training ProvidedTechnical Support Officers will receive appropriate training relating to:
Known issues and their workarounds.
Project Intranet Site with FAQs.
Work processes, including how to report issues.
Clearances and Eligibility
The successful Applicant must have full working rights in Australia and be either currently holding or eligible and willing to obtain the following clearances:
National Police Clearance Certificate (Issued within the last 12 months)
Working with Children Check (Issued within the last 5 years)
Aged Care Sector Employment Clearance (Issued within the last 3 years)
