We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Administration Officer (AO2) to join a dedicated State Government team based in Cloncurry. Key Responsibilities
As an Administration Officer, you will be the backbone of the office, handling everything from front-of-house reception to fleet and travel logistics. Your daily duties will include:
Administration Support: * Provide high-quality word processing and assist in assembling and preparing project documentation.
Help prepare general correspondence, official documents, reports, and presentations.
Coordinate meetings, including arranging venues, ordering catering, and taking accurate minutes.
Manage and coordinate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) stock and distribution.
Switch & Reception Duties: * Act as the welcoming face and voice of the office by answering incoming calls and greeting visitors.
Manage incoming/outgoing mail and oversee efficient filing and document control activities.
Vehicle Fleet Administration: * Manage bookings for the district's fleet vehicles.
Assist with arranging vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
Help monitor the usage, logbooks, and rotation of district vehicles, and assist with remote travel coordination.
Travel Administration: * Coordinate and book travel and accommodation for staff, ensuring compliance with government travel guidelines.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will bring a positive "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic. Ideally, you possess:
Proven Admin Experience: Prior experience in an administrative, reception, or clerical role (State Government experience is highly regarded but not essential).
Strong Organization Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Excellent Communication: A professional phone manner and strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence and reports.
