About the Role

Our client is a NSW government organisation based in Parramatta NSW. They are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable and General Ledger Processing Officer to come in and join their team based in Parramatta NSW.

Candidates for this role must have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar

• Experience in Accounts Receivable and General ledger processing

• Previous government experience

In this role you will provide efficient and timely service delivery in all accounts data entry and accounts reconciliations functions and maintains the integrity of organisational financial data along with being the first point of contact for all internal and external customer inquiries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Data Processing: Enter invoices, adjustment notes, receipts, and journals accurately in compliance with legislation and relevant policies.
• Debtor Verification: Verify that all debtor information is correct and complete to ensure efficient debt recovery processes.
• Reconciliation & Banking: Reconcile accounts data and daily banking activities timely to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Cash Advances: Process cash advance requests efficiently and within established timeframes.
• Customer Support: Resolve routine email and phone inquiries promptly, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Admin & Records Management: Maintain official databases and provide administrative support to assist the accounting team.

About You

You will be an experienced Accounts Receivable and GL professional with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar
• Experience in Accounts Receivable and General ledger processing
• Previous government experience
