You will perform vital on-ground maintenance and restoration work within Logan’s natural reserves. This is a physically demanding role involving environmental conservation and emergency fire response.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bushland operational maintenance and restoration.
- Strong identification skills for both indigenous and exotic flora and fauna.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours for ad-hoc operational or emergency needs.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage professionally with the public.
- Willingness to obtain an MR Licence during the probation period.
About the Job:
You will work under the guidance of a Team Leader to implement diverse work programs, ranging from bushland rehabilitation to fire access line maintenance. Beyond daily conservation tasks, you will be a key player in controlled fuel reduction burns and biodiversity conservation. You'll need to be comfortable using various plant equipment, navigating remote locations, and maintaining high safety standards for yourself and your crew.
