• Hourly Rate: $34.64 per hour.

• Primary Purpose: To undertake specialist turf maintenance and general labouring functions in an efficient, effective and timely manner throughout Parks, Roadside, and Conservation areas.

• Probation Period: 3 months.

• Outdoor Conditions: The role operates primarily outdoors, offering variety and working within nature. Expect to spend time on your feet, often working in warmer weather conditions.

• Dedicated Service Delivery: The team maintains approximately 3 million sqm of park land, with the goal of completing a maintenance cycle fortnightly (weather permitting).

• Key Accountabilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Operating and maintaining large ride-on equipment or other plant/equipment used in turf maintenance services.

  • Carrying out a range of Parks and Conservation maintenance and construction labouring duties.

Skills and Experience Required

We are specifically looking for candidates with the following essential skills:

• Mandatory Criteria:

  • Current Class C Drivers Licence with the ability to obtain a minimum LR licence.

  • Demonstrated experience and skill in the safe, correct and efficient operation and maintenance of large ride-on equipment and other plant/equipment used in turf maintenance services.

  • Demonstrated experience in working in a large-scale, high-volume turf mowing and maintenance operation.

• Highly Desirable Experience:

  • High volume whipper snipping experience.

  • Experience with front mount mowers.

  • Qualifications in turf maintenance.

  • LR class Licence or above.
