The Opportunity
As the Transport Supervisor, you will be accountable for key operational KPIs to deliver optimal financial business outcomes. You will be an integral part of the Central Operations Team, working to ensure all delivery opportunities are optimised.
Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:
Load Planning and Coordination: Effectively coordinate all day-to-day routing, scheduling, and communication for company and subcontractor fleet.
System Optimisation: Conduct dynamic routing and maximise equipment utilisation for assigned territories. Ensure all loads are accurately assigned in BY TMS (Transport Management System) with correct Equipment Type, Trailer, and Driver details.
Master Data Management: Be responsible for master data maintenance within BY TMS, including delivery location geocoding, vehicle specifications, and tariff information.
Compliance and Safety: Maintain the highest standards of safety and ensure adherence to Chain of Responsibility (COR) obligations. Ensure physical execution of work is carried out in a safe and sustainable way.
Customer Focus: Respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner and ensure all deliveries/pick-ups are performed efficiently and on-schedule. Monitor DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) performance indicators to meet customer targets.
Required Experience and Knowledge:
Experience in a transport scheduling/coordination role.
Detailed knowledge of load configurations, weights, and truck trailer type allocation.
Working knowledge of relevant Australian transport rules and regulations.
Experience with a Transport Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
High-level skill in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
