The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Training Delivery Lead to drive the planning, coordination, and execution of high impact training programs across a large, safety critical operational workforce.
You will lead the end-to-end delivery of competency-based training to support the transition to a new Air Traffic Management platform. This includes overseeing training strategy, delivery planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and readiness reporting.
This is a pivotal leadership role requiring strong training governance expertise, transformation experience, and the confidence to influence senior operational, technical, and program leaders.
Contract Details
- Term: 12 months contract with potential for extension for another 6 to 12 months
- Location: Brisbane or Melbourne
- Hybrid Work: 2–3 days per week in-office.
- Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance(desirable)
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large-scale training initiatives enabling workforce transition to new operational systems.
- Own the end-to-end training delivery plan, including scheduling, resource coordination, risk mitigation, and progress reporting.
- Influence and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure training outcomes support broader program timelines and operational readiness targets.
- Oversee development and deployment of training materials aligned to regulatory and organisational standards.
- Drive readiness assessments, training effectiveness reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide executive level reporting on training progress, risks, and workforce readiness.
- Manage and mentor training specialists, instructional designers, and SMEs supporting the transformation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant aviation training regulations (e.g., CASR Parts 65, 143, 172).
Key Capabilities and Experiences
- Extensive experience leading training delivery in large scale, high risk, or safety critical environments.
- Proven success delivering training within complex transformation or system change programs.
- Strong understanding of aviation, defence, or regulated industry training frameworks (highly desirable).
- Executive level stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, tight timeframes, and high operational expectations.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Aviation, Education, Training, Management or similar.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable).
- OJTI (On-the-Job Training Instructor) or ATSWpA (Air Traffic Services Workplace Assessor) qualifications (desirable).
