Are you an experienced Trade Assistant or Storeperson with a background in automotive or fabrication? We are looking for a reliable, multi-skilled professional to join a large State Government department’s fleet team based in Eagle Farm.
This is a dynamic role that sits at the intersection of workshop support and inventory management, ensuring the fleet team has the parts and hands-on assistance they need to keep emergency vehicles on the road.
The Role
In this dual-function position, you will support both the mechanical workshop and the parts store. Your duties will be varied and essential to the smooth operation of the facility.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Workshop Support: Assisting trade-qualified mechanics with heavy vehicle maintenance and basic fabrication tasks.
Stores Management: Receiving, dispatching, and organising automotive parts and inventory.
Vehicle Movements: Moving vehicles and equipment around the site safely.
Basic Maintenance: Assisting with engine maintenance tasks and general workshop upkeep.
System Logging: Utilising electronic systems to track parts and update job sheets.

What you need to bring
Experience: A solid background in the automotive or fabrication industries is essential.
Licensing: A valid Manual Driver’s Licence (this is a non-negotiable).

Highly Desirable (but not mandatory):
A current MR Licence.
A valid Forklift Licence (LF).
Prior experience in stores/inventory management.
Basic engine maintenance experience.
