Talent Acquisition Specialist | High-Volume Project
A prominent Local Government Council is embarking on an exciting community project, the grand re-opening of a major refurbished Leisure Centre. To ensure a successful launch, we are seeking a resilient, detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead a massive recruitment drive.
This is a fast-paced, 3–6 month contract where you will be responsible for securing 100+ new employees, ranging from casual staff to permanent part-time professionals.
The Role:
...- Rate: $51.00 – $55.00 per hour + Super.
- Location: Sydney Greater Area
- Working Model: Office-based. Ranging from 3–4 days in the office as the project ramps up.
- Term: 3–6 months
Key Responsibilities
You will have full ownership of the project lifecycle, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution:
- Writing engaging ads, screening, phone interviewing, and scheduling face-to-face interviews.
- Leading and facilitating high-volume assessment centers for casual staff.
- Managing rigorous background checks, including police checks, qualification verifications, working with children checks and references.
- Partnering closely with the Leisure Centre Manager, three Team Leads and People and Culture team to meet hiring targets.
- Managing your own coordination and scheduling with high precision.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a ‘hit the ground running’ recruiter who thrives in high-pressure environments and remains resilient in the face of fast-paced, high-volume hiring.
About you:
- 3–5+ years in a Recruitment or Talent Acquisition role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale hiring projects.
- A fast learner who manages their own workflow independently.
- Previous Council experience is not required.
The Environment
You will report to the Talent Acquisition Lead and work alongside a dedicated TA Admin Officer who assists with the background check process. This is a high-energy project within a supportive People & Culture team, offering the chance to see the tangible impact of your work as you staff a major community facility from the ground up.
