About the Role
The position is responsible for the effectiveness of the team that plans and manages the engineering content of projects and that are the main technical interfaces with customers.
Key Responsibilties:
- Perform systems engineering activities such as requirements gathering, system design, verification and validation, and testing and evaluation of products.
- Ensure that the engineering department achieves the technical outcomes required on approved engineering projects.
- Create technical systems engineering documents to support various projects for the company.
- Establish, manage and maintain systems to support the planning of and resource allocation to, approved technical projects.
- Present and participate in engineering project internal and external status reviews.
- Manage certain critical and complex engineering projects as required.
Experience:
- 10 years or more experience practising in a Senior Engineering position.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Product Life Cycle.
- Experience and track record in management of engineers in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience of the Australian Defence technical regulation frameworks and standards
- Proven experience in the project/program execution within the ASDEFCON framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree within an Engineering Discipline.
- Currently hold or ability to obtain a Chartered Professional Engineering Status.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Systems Engineering is desirable.
