Site Supervisor | Water Infrastructure & Pipelaying (Tier 1 Contractor)
Are you a heavy-hitting Site Supervisor with a background in complex pipelaying and civil structures?
We are representing a global Tier 1 Contractor currently delivering a major water infrastructure package in the Logan region. They require a high-caliber Supervisor to lead large-scale pipe installation and structural concrete works. This is a high-tempo project requiring a leader who understands the technical nuances of water assets.
The Role
This is a 3-month+ contract with an immediate start. You will be overseeing the installation of large-diameter water mains, trenching, and associated civil structures (valve pits, thrust blocks, and concrete encasements).
...Key Responsibilities
Pipelaying Oversight: Lead the installation of large-diameter DICL, MSCL, and HDPE water mains.
Civil Structures: Supervise the construction of reinforced concrete structures, including pits, chambers, and thrust blocks.
Production & Planning: Manage daily site resources, including heavy plant, specialized pipelaying crews, and subcontractors.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all works meet Tier 1 and Local Authority specifications (ITPs, pressure testing, and backfill requirements).
Safety Leadership: Drive a zero-harm culture, ensuring all trenching, shoring, and lifting activities are executed safely.
Skills & Experience Required
Project History: Extensive experience in civil water projects, specifically heavy pipelaying and structural concrete.
Tier 1 Background: You understand the reporting, safety, and quality rigour required by a Tier 1 contractor.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of trenching standards, shoring systems, and pressure testing protocols.
Leadership: Strong ability to read plans, manage "red-line" changes, and push production without compromising safety.
Qualifications & Tickets
Cert IV in Civil Supervision or a relevant trade background.
S1, S2, S3 Supervisor Qualifications.
Confined Space Entry and Work at Heights (Preferred).
Competent Person (Trenching/Shoring) training is highly regarded.
White Card and current Driver’s License.
