Are you a seasoned construction professional with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for leading teams? Over Government Client is looking for a Supervisor (OO6) to join our Mt Isa team. This isn't just a desk job—it’s a chance to manage diverse projects, support government infrastructure, and lead a dedicated frontline workforce in the heart of North West Queensland.
The Role
As a Supervisor, you will be the bridge between technical planning and on-site execution. You’ll oversee everything from high-stakes tender documentation to the physical delivery of maintenance and construction projects.
Your key responsibilities include:
Estimation & Documentation: Producing high-quality tenders, accurate trade packages, and detailed construction programs.
Project Supervision: Leading office staff, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure maintenance and upgrades are delivered on time and to standard.
Condition Assessments: Conducting technical inspections, building surveys, and asbestos sampling to maintain asset integrity.
Client Relations: Acting as a key point of contact for Government Employee Housing and promoting Clients services to prospective clients.
Safety & Leadership: Driving a culture of safety (SMS compliance) while proactively managing the performance and conduct of your team.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a leader who is as comfortable with a spreadsheet as they are on a worksite.
Technical Expertise: Strong background in building maintenance, construction estimating, and project scheduling.
Safety First A commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to implement Safety Management Systems.
Leadership Greet: Experience managing diverse teams and subcontractors
Communication: The ability to build strong relationships with government clients and stakeholders.
