Site Representative (AO6) | Infrastructure Delivery
About the Role
Drive construction excellence at the Woodford Youth Detention Centre. As the Site Representative (AO6), you will serve as the primary technical assurance lead, ensuring the Managing Contractor delivers to the highest standards of quality, safety, and legislative compliance. This is a high-autonomy role requiring a sophisticated balance of technical construction oversight and strategic stakeholder management within a complex, high-security operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
... Technical Assurance: Conduct rigorous site inspections to audit workmanship and ensure strict adherence to project specifications, building codes, and statutory requirements.
Governance & Compliance: Lead site-level audits of WHS protocols and environmental controls, ensuring a zero-harm approach and legislative alignment.
Aconex & Defect Management: Architect the end-to-end defect management process; identifying, documenting, and verifying the rectification of non-conformances via Aconex.
Stakeholder Integration: Act as the critical interface between the Project Team, Managing Contractors, and Facility Operations to ensure delivery with minimal operational disruption.
Commissioning & Handover: Provide expert technical support during the commissioning phase, verifying asset data and build documentation for seamless facility transition.
Strategic Reporting: Provide high-level, data-driven reports on site progress, emerging risks, and contractor performance to senior project leadership.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a seasoned construction professional with a "quality-first" ethos and the ability to influence outcomes in high-pressure environments.
Mandatory Requirements:
Qualifications: Trade or Tertiary qualification in a Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Software Mastery: Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Aconex for document control and defect management.
Safety Leadership: Deep knowledge of the WHS Act 2011 and environmental control frameworks.
Logistics: Valid Open Driver’s Licence and the ability to pass rigorous security vetting (including Blue Card/Police Check) for a Youth Detention environment.
Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience in client-side representation or contractor management on large-scale infrastructure.
Advanced communication skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
Comprehensive understanding of the commissioning lifecycle and asset management information.
