The job involves high-end finishing and screeding for Council maintenance projects. A big part of what we need is someone who can talk to the crew, share their tricks of the trade, and make sure everyone is working safely and to a high standard.
What we're looking for:
At least 4 years of solid experience in civil concreting.
Someone who is a good communicator and doesn't mind coaching others.
A massive focus on quality—you do it right the first time.
A strong "safety first" attitude.
Job Description:
Perform all aspects of concrete placement, finishing, and shaping to an impeccable standard, including floating, trowelling, and achieving various surface finishes (e.g., broom finish, smooth).
Execute precision screeding and levelling using both hand tools and mechanical equipment (e.g., vibrating screeds) for footpaths, kerb and channel, slabs, and drainage structures.
Accurately measure, set out, and construct form work and boxing for specific concreting requirements.
Monitor concrete mix consistency, slump, and curing processes, making necessary on-site adjustments.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
- White Card
- HR or MR license (desirable)
- 4+ years Experience in Concrete Finishing
- Civil Labouring Work
