A premier global leader in industrial packaging and logistics solutions is seeking a skilled Service Technician (Fitter and Turner/Maintenance Fitter/Mechanic) to join their growing team.

In this role, you will travel to various client sites to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a diverse range of specialized machinery and tooling. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically minded professional looking for a autonomous role with comprehensive, hands-on product training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of specialized packaging machinery, focusing on plastic/steel strapping equipment and stretch-film systems.

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and hand tools at customer facilities (including third-party equipment).

• Assist with equipment commissioning and conduct basic operational training for client staff.

• Visit contract customers for routine preventative maintenance and identify opportunities to promote service agreements.

• Complete job documentation, manage service reports, and oversee your assigned vehicle and spare parts inventory.

• Adhere strictly to all site-specific safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Required:

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Automotive Mechanic) or similar

• Valid, current driver’s license.

• Strong mechanical diagnostic skills and a natural knack for problem-solving.

• Excellent communication skills, basic computer literacy (MS Office), and the ability to work independently without close supervision.
  
  
  

Desirable (But Not Essential):

• Electrical disconnect/reconnect license.

• Practical experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  
  
  

What’s on Offer?

• $80,000 - $95,000 + superannuation
