Are you a master of logistics with a knack for keeping field operations running like clockwork? Our client is looking for a proactive Service Scheduler to join a leading industrial equipment provider. This is a pivotal role where you will act as the "engine room" of their service department - coordinating a national team of technicians, managing client expectations, and ensuring every service job is executed with precision.
The Role
Reporting to the National Service Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of field service operations across Australia. You aren't just booking appointments; you are optimising labour, minimising travel costs, and ensuring our customers receive a world-class service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Dynamic Scheduling: Prioritise and distribute service jobs across Australia, managing the daily planning board to maximise technician productivity.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for service requests, aiming for a 24-hour response for breakdowns and 48 hours for maintenance.
- Operational Control: Use SAP/ERP to monitor technician activities, track open work orders, and ensure all invoicing information is accurate and professional.
- Quoting & Coordination: Prepare service estimations, follow up on approvals, and liaise with the warehouse to ensure parts are staged for upcoming repairs.
- Business Growth: Proactively contact customers to schedule preventative maintenance and follow up on service campaigns to drive lead generation.
What You Bring to the Team
You are a multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the nuances of mechanical or electrical service vocabulary.
- Experience: At least 2 years in a Service Scheduling or Coordination role (ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment).
- Systems Savvy: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP and HubSpot is highly regarded.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to understand mechanical/electrical service requirements to accurately quote and schedule jobs.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders - from technicians in the field to corporate clients.
- Detail Oriented: A "right first time" approach to work orders and invoicing to ensure seamless business operations.
