About the Role
As the Senior Manager, HR Partnering, you will provide vital strategic guidance to a portfolio of client groups, ensuring human resources activities align with the university’s overarching strategy. This is a senior leadership position where you will champion exemplary people management practices and drive operational excellence across the HR function.
Serving as a deputy to the Associate Director, you will play a key role in functional projects focused on continuous improvement and quality service delivery. This is a Fixed Term Permanent Recruit until January 2027.
Key Responsibilities
...Lead the development of annual client people plans and workforce strategies for defined portfolio groups to support business objectives.
Manage and coach a team of HR Partners, providing professional guidance to deliver enhanced individual and team performance.
Deploy best-practice HR tools and frameworks to deliver robust and commercially sound client solutions.
Independently lead strategic priorities and projects that support the growth and optimal service model of the HR function.
Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and collaborate with HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs) to ensure consistent service delivery.
About You
We are seeking a senior HR professional who thrives in complex environments and possesses:
Extensive experience in HR Partnering within large, complex, and matrixed organisations.
Highly developed skills in stakeholder management and negotiation, with a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes.
A proven track record of leading teams of HR professionals and building team capabilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to utilize metrics and specialist advice to support effective decision-making.
The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively to changing contexts.
Education & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field. Postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources are highly regarded.
An equivalent combination of training and significant professional experience in a business partnering environment will also be considered
