About the Role
Our client is a WA State Government organisation based in Leederville WA. They are currently seeking a Senior Analyst - Financial Performance to come in and join their team on a 10 month temp Maternity Cover contract.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting OR CA/CPA Qualification
- Commercial financial and project accounting experience in a large capital-intensive engineering infrastructure/construction environment.
- Budgeting, reporting, treasury, taxation, and managerial accounting experience
- Proficiency with financial systems.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining an efficient and effective finance and administration function within the project team.
Key responsibilities will include;
Financial Advisory: Provide expert guidance to management and PMO teams to align project delivery with corporate financial requirements.
Governance & Policy: Develop and maintain financial policies to ensure the Alliance adheres to corporate governance and propriety standards.
Cost & Cash Flow Control: Manage the continuous monitoring of project costs and cash flow to maintain financial stability.
Progress Claims: Oversee the accurate preparation and submission of financial progress claims from the Alliance to the Corporation.
Leadership Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial statements to the Alliance Leadership Team for high-level decision-making.
Operational Oversight: Supervise daily financial transactions, including invoice verification and the approval of payments from Alliance accounts.
Variance Compliance: Review and validate project variance requests to ensure strict adherence to the Alliance Agreement.
About You
You will be an experienced Financial Analyst with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting OR CA/CPA Qualification
- Commercial financial and project accounting experience in a large capital-intensive engineering infrastructure/construction environment.
- Budgeting, reporting, treasury, taxation, and managerial accounting experience
- Proficiency with financial systems.
