The Opportunity
We are a premier multi-modal transport provider, responsible for millions of passenger journeys across Australia each year. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our established finance team based in Mount Barker.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique balance of high level financial strategy and operational management. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be a key pillar in a collaborative team of eight, ensuring our financial health as we continue to move Australia forward.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Lead End of Month processes, journal preparation, and comprehensive reporting.
Analysis & Forecasting: Manage balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, and provide deep financial analysis to support business decisions.
Compliance: Oversee tax obligations including BAS and payroll tax, ensuring adherence to Australian accounting standards.
Operational Support: Provide oversight for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.
Strategic Projects: Contribute to cost modelling, tender processes, and the implementation of new financial systems.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a problem solver who thrives in a quiet, focused office environment but enjoys being part of a busy operational team.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Degree in Accounting/Commerce and a completed CA/CPA (or currently undertaking).
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a hands-on corporate accounting role.
Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in transport, logistics, or bus services is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel proficiency; experience with Great Plains (GP) or Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial.
Attributes: A can do attitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously.
