Randstad are proud to offer the opportunity to be part of an outcome-focused reputed organisation with stable funding arrangements. They are currently recruiting an experienced Science Writer for a 12 month contract period commencing early March 2026.
It is anticipated that on average the role will be required for 20 hours per week.
The key duties and accountabilities of the successful candidate will include:
- Editorial work on scientific reports, statutory documents, and technical reports
- Preparing fact sheets, user friendly material
- Preparing basic illustrations
- Preparing web friendly material in readiness for publication.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Ability to translate complex scientific material
- Understanding of scientific processes, environmental science and earth sciences
- Experience with editing scientific and environmental reports
Additionally they will demonstrate strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
