SAP HR/Payroll Functional Expert Role

Join a major public sector technology services team focused on delivering enterprise corporate applications and supporting payroll processes. This role is a key part of maintaining and enhancing one of the public sector's largest integrated rostering and SAP payroll solutions, ensuring better workforce management capability and practices. You will be instrumental in providing expert advice and troubleshooting for a critical, large-scale HR/Payroll solution.
What You Will Do:
- Provide expert advice and content knowledge of the SAP HR/Payroll solution to ensure maintenance and support.
- Troubleshoot Problem tickets, including design, configuration, and testing of SAP in accordance with strict standards.
- Document system configuration changes, update Functional specifications, and review Technical Specifications and procedures.
- Proactively assess the effectiveness of the SAP system and recommend modifications to improve system effectiveness in consultation with stakeholders.
- Undertake key activities in providing expert support for the pay run and implement updates/upgrades to the SAP system.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- Experience in analytical and problem-solving skills in SAP HR (Organisational Management, Payroll, Time Management, Personnel Administration).
- Extensive experience in the support and configuration of large-scale HR SAP Solutions.
- Proven experience in formulating, documenting, and implementing functional and technical specifications.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills to consult and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and award structures in Government
