Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Planner to join their Western Australia team. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence by balancing customer deadlines with factory capacity to maximize output and efficiency.
The Role
As the Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing realistic, efficient production schedules using ASA software. You will serve as the central hub of communication between production, logistics, suppliers, and customers to ensure a stable production flow and accurate delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
...- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain optimized weekly, monthly, and project-based plans to maximize machine utilization and factory throughput.
- Capacity Optimization: Sequence production to minimize unnecessary changeovers and proactively adjust schedules to reduce machine idle time.
- Customer Commitment Management: Manage customer forward plans, including construction schedules and concrete pours, ensuring all delivery commitments align with realistic manufacturing capability.
- Supplier Coordination: Arrange all necessary rebar accessories from suppliers, ensuring materials arrive in alignment with planned production and customer pour dates.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify scheduling inefficiencies and implement improvements to ASA planning workflows and Lean manufacturing processes.
