Role Overview
Our client is an independent, $8.3 billion publicly listed company that produces some of the world's most iconic ice cream brands. They are on a mission to create the ultimate snacking company, crafting extraordinary experiences.
We are seeking a highly organized Production Coordinator for a 3-month contract (leave coverage) to act as the organizational backbone of their production ops.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this day-shift role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and loves bringing order to complexity.
You will be the go-to person on the production floor, supporting Production Leaders by coordinating staff, managing schedules, and ensuring the team has everything they need to operate seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Rostering & Workforce Management:
- Act as the expert in rostering, supporting Production Leaders by coordinating Machine Operator schedules across all shifts.
- Build and maintain cost-effective casual rosters while managing the allocation and tracking of temporary labor hire, ensuring you stay within budget and utilization targets.
- Track absenteeism and planned leave with high accuracy to maintain smooth operations.
Production Operations & Scheduling:
- Production Ops & Raw Materials: Utilize your expertise in Production Operations and raw materials scheduling to keep the factory floor running efficiently.
- Consumables Management: Set up and manage systems for ordering production consumables, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and driving budget accountability.
Administrative Operations:
- Smooth Admin Support: Drive day-to-day administrative operations, supporting the team with invoicing, purchasing, data entry, reporting, and uniform/locker management.
- Ad-Hoc Problem Solving: Jump into ad hoc administrative tasks to help the team stay on track, adapting quickly to the factory's needs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2-3 years in operational, quality, food tech, or FMCG roles is highly desirable. Must have proven experience coordinating multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Technical Expertise: Must be an expert in rostering, Production Ops, and raw materials scheduling. Proficiency with MS Office, SAP, Kronos, and Coupa is essential.
- Work Style: High level of initiative, strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work autonomously. Must be a confident communicator who thrives under pressure.
- Mindset: A flexible, positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and simplicity.
Salary, Hours & Work Rights
- $45.55/hr - $50.61/hr + Super
- Hours: Monday to Friday, regular work hours (Day shift) (Note: No Overtime or leave loading applies).
- Location: Minto, NSW (In-person role).
- Full Australian working rights required.
