Product Owner, Digital Delivery
About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Agile Product Owner ready to play a critical role in shaping the digital future of one of Australia's fastest-growing general insurance providers?
We are seeking a highly capable Product Owner to join our Digital Delivery division, focusing specifically on Professional Marketing, Media & Acquisition features.
This is more than a standard position; it is a chance to be at the heart of a significant strategic initiative. You will collaborate with a team of specialists dedicated to creating Australia's best web-based digital platforms for quoting, selling, and managing insurance policies within a complex financial ecosystem.
Your primary focus will be to champion the voice of the customer, ensuring our platforms deliver seamless, best-in-class experiences across all channels. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development teams and the wider business, engaging with senior stakeholders to define scope, manage priorities, and maximise the value delivered.
This is a dynamic individual contributor role, reporting to a Senior Manager, where your ability to solve complex problems, make informed trade-off decisions, and drive customer-centricity will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Agile Delivery: Execute core Agile duties, developing, assessing, and maintaining a clear, prioritised backlog of Epics, Features, and User Stories for your dedicated delivery team.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with both internal and external partners—including our expert UX/UI team—to deeply analyse needs and ensure all product features align with strategic business goals.
Strategy & Vision: Actively contribute to the product roadmap and remain current on industry trends and competitor offerings.
Risk & Compliance: Promote a culture of risk and compliance awareness, ensuring all digital solutions meet regulatory and company standards.
Community Engagement: Actively contribute to a Product Owner Community of Practice to ensure consistency and alignment across all delivery processes.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential Experience:
Agile Expertise: A minimum of 2+ years of hands-on Agile experience in a Product Owner or comparable role.
Complex Systems: Proven experience working effectively with large and complex technology stacks.
Customer Journey Focus: Demonstrable success in improving end-to-end customer journeys within digital platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent ability to organise workshops and effectively engage and manage stakeholders at all levels.
Communication: A lateral thinker with exceptional clarity in both written and verbal communication.
Highly Desirable:
Experience within the Financial or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with tools like Jira & Confluence.
A background in Business Analysis or eCommerce.
