- Long term temp contract until July 2027
Your Opportunity
The core of this role is to develop policies, strategies, and methodologies to ensure effective asset management and maintenance practices. You will be responsible for planning, evaluating, and improving maintenance programs for schools, staff housing, and early childhood education centres across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Policy and Strategy Development: Develop and review policies, strategies, and program plans for maintenance management, and propose improvements based on evaluations and data analysis.
- Funding and Resource Allocation: Create and review methodologies for allocating maintenance funding to schools.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead a small team focused on long-term planning and the development of a forward pipeline of maintenance work.
- Strategic Advice & Reporting: Provide strategic advice on asset maintenance policies to support lifecycle planning , and prepare Ministerial correspondence, reports, and briefing materials.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strategic networks to monitor issues, identify best practice approaches , and regularly liaise with stakeholder groups.
- Data Analysis: Analyse data from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process to inform long-term investment strategies.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have a background in asset management, infrastructure planning, or a related field , with proven experience in policy development, program evaluation, and data analysis.

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to evaluate programs, analyse data, and develop evidence-based strategies.

- Leadership: Experience in leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Planning and Reporting: Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and report on maintenance programs effectively.
