You will work in one of the most advanced gas turbine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) firms in Australia. This isn't a role for a simple "operator"—we are looking for a technical specialist to restore high-value aerospace components.

This is your chance to trade the standard grind for a 4-day work week in sun-drenched Brisbane, working within a facility that sits at the absolute pinnacle of aviation safety and engineering.

Responsibilities

You will be the bridge between complex engineering drawings and flight-ready hardware. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating both manual and CNC industrial plant (lathes, mills, and grinders) to restore parent components to original specs.
• Utilizing Boilermaking and specialized welding techniques to repair, build up, and modify high-tolerance aerospace parts.
• Utilizing Fanuc or Mitsubishi controllers to execute complex repair schemes.
• Undertaking grit blasting, shot peening, and precision masking.
• Interpreting OEM drawings and documenting all work within the Pentagon ERP system to ensure total airworthiness
• Maintain the machine shop, tools, and its equipment in accordance with health and safety requirements

Requirements

This role requires a high level of mechanical "feel" and technical discipline. We are looking for:

• Cert III in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, or Boilermaking.
• Proven experience in both manual and CNC machining. If you are a seasoned Toolmaker or Precision Machinist, you are exactly who we are looking for.
• Familiarity with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controllers is advantageous.
• Experience in Aerospace, Defence, or heavy precision manufacturing.
• While not required, experience in Thermal Spray, NDT, or Welding will put you at the top of the pile.
