What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you won't just be turning spanners; you’ll be the backbone of our operational reliability. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Maintenance & Repair: Executing planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of industrial plant equipment.
- Precision Fitting: Overhauling water pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshooting mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Safety Leadership: Maintaining a "safety first" mindset in every task you undertake.
What You Bring to the Table
- Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter/Machinist) or equivalent.
- Experience: A solid background in industrial or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Reliability: You are punctual, professional, and ready to get stuck in.
- Safety Compliance: You must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screen and remain compliant with ongoing site testing.
- Local Knowledge: Ideally based in (or willing to relocate to) the Townsville region.
