As a Mechanical Fitter within the Defence space, your role is diverse and precision focused. You will:

• Install and test complex mechanical systems and bilge pumps.

• Perform flange pipe installations and precision alignments.

• Identify, repair, and replace defective or worn components.

• Utilise precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet strict accuracy standards.

• Work on hydraulics, pneumatics and specialised naval machinery.

• Collaborate with a highly skilled trade team to meet tight overhaul and build schedules.

Requirements for the Job

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Cert III in Mechanical Fitting / Fitting & Turning (Australian Recognised).

• Must be an Australian Citizen (essential for Naval Security Clearances).

• Current White Card and Confined Space (refreshed within the last 2 years).

• Ability to provide a National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months).

• Proven experience in heavy industrial or defence environments.

• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening.
