This role involves service and repair of industrial air and gas compressors, gas engines and associated equipment.
You will be a Mechanical Fitter (Service Technician) working mainly in local projects in Lytton, QLD and once in a while you will be working in inter-state projects.
This role will involve:
- Scheduled maintenance and overhaul of Compressors, Gas Engines, Rotating Machinery & associated equipment
- The accurate and timely recording of data related to work performed
- Fault finding and problem solving
- Installation and commissioning of equipment
- Working closely with sales and service personnel.
- Maintaining relationships with customers to promote and retain business
- Participation in training and development opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleagues
What you'll need to succeed:-
- Relevant formal education and training (Trade Qualifications in Fitting and Machining or Equivalent)
- Experience in working with Compressors
- Experience with Gas Engines and /or associated equipment in the oil and gas industry is highly regarded
- A willingness to travel domestically, and occasionally to remote locations for service work at client facilities (Field Service)
- A current Drivers License
