Are you a passionate educator who believes there is "more than one way" to reach a career goal? We are seeking a dynamic Maths and Science Teacher to join our client in North Brisbane.
Unlike a traditional secondary school, our client specializes in providing Year 11 and 12 students with a dual pathway: achieving their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) while simultaneously gaining hands-on trade qualifications. This is your chance to teach in an environment where academic concepts are directly linked to real-world industry applications.
Purpose-Driven Teaching: Work with students who are highly motivated, career-focused, and eager to see the practical value in their STEM education.
Work-Life Balance: Enjoy the stability of a permanent, full-time role within a supportive, collaborative faculty that values your professional growth.
Competitive Benefits: Access to professional development through the wider school group, plus the unique rewards of working within a specialized independent school.
Deliver engaging General and Essential Mathematics and Science curriculum aligned with QCAA standards.
Contextualise learning to align with various trade industries (e.g., Electrotechnology, Construction, Engineering, Automotive).
Foster a supportive classroom culture that encourages student agency, wellbeing, and industry readiness.
Collaborate with trade trainers and industry liaison officers to ensure a holistic educational experience for every student.
To be successful in this role, you will be an adaptable educator who can build strong rapport with senior students. You should possess:
Current Registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
Proven experience teaching Secondary Maths and Science (Senior years experience highly regarded).
The ability to differentiate instruction for a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
A "hands-on" mindset—you enjoy making complex concepts accessible and relevant to the trades.
If you are ready to "nail the connection" between education and industry, we want to hear from you.
Please submit your Resume detailing your experience in Maths/Science education and why you are passionate about trade-based learning via the link or reach out to Joe on the details below:
