Are you a strategic leader with exceptional high level acumen and a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes?
This is a fantastic contract opportunity for an accomplished leader with comprehensive high-level knowledge, expertise and judgement in the assessment and management of complex statewide consumer and trade matters.
As the Manager, Regulatory Assessments, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for the registration, assessment, and determination of complaints regarding legislative breaches. Working under broad direction, you will apply comprehensive expertise to complex statewide consumer and trader matters, providing high-level advice to the Commissioner and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Team Leadership: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Registrations and Assessments teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Complaints Management: Lead the assessment and determination of complaints related to breaches of legislation across a diverse range of consumer areas.
- Expert Advisory: Provide high-quality written and oral advice to Executive Leaders on complex matters of political or consumer sensitivity.
- Determining Outcomes: Exercise sound judgment and professional expertise to determine appropriate outcomes for complex and high-priority matters.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with key government agencies and internal agency managers to ensure consistent regulatory approaches.
Ideally you will possess:
- Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a diverse team.
- Legislative Complaints Expertise: Significant experience in complaints management, specifically relating to breaches of legislation.
- Strategic Judgment: The ability to apply comprehensive knowledge and expertise when assessing complex statewide matters to determine appropriate outcomes.
- High-Level Advisory Skills: Experience providing expert advice and guidance to Executive Leaders on legal and policy complexities and proven ability to navigate politically sensitive issues and exercise discretion in a high-profile environment.
