- Paying $88.47-94.56ph + super

About the Role
Our client are a well-known WA State government organisation based in the Petro CBD area. They are currently seeking a Manager - Finance Business Partnering to join their team on a 3-6 month temp contract with possible extension to 9 months.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, and Finance
- Experience delivering contemporary financial management in a large, complex organisation
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and financial strategy
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, financial platforms, and digital tools
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership & Governance: Provide senior-level direction to achieve departmental goals while fostering an ethical, innovative, and value-driven finance culture.
Finance Business Partnering: Lead the FBP model by empowering a specialist team to deliver high-quality financial advice and analysis that supports business decisions.
Financial Performance & Insights: Monitor performance against budgets, analyse variances, and provide proactive advice to optimise resource use and corrective actions.
Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the delivery of accurate monthly, external, and annual financial statements in alignment with the Financial Performance Reporting Framework.
Budget Cycle Coordination: Manage the end-to-end budget strategy and estimates process, including mid-year reviews and State Government submissions.
External Funding Oversight: Provide financial governance for externally funded projects (e.g., Royalties for Regions) through specialised budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
Process Improvement & Emergency Response: Drive continuous improvement of financial policies and participate in departmental incident management activities as required.
About You
You will be an experienced leader in Finance Business Partnering with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, and Finance
- Substantial experience delivering contemporary financial management in a large, complex organisation
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and financial strategy
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, financial platforms, and digital tools
