Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Champion a zero-harm environment and safety-first culture, ensuring to always follow the "Never Walk Past" principle.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Complete planned maintenance tasks, fault diagnosis, and breakdown repairs, as well as any modifications requested by your Supervisor.
- Mechanical Fitting: Perform maintenance related to extruders, kiln rails, strappers, brick handling machinery, conveyors, bearings, and rollers.
- Machine Operation: Occasionally utilize machine tools, including pedestal drills, lathes, and milling machines.
- Technical Work: Apply your skills in welding and fabrication, with exposure to pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Housekeeping: Maintain safe operating practices and a consistently high standard of housekeeping.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A background in manufacturing or the building industry.
- A relevant Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate.
- A strong sense of safety awareness and a record of good attendance.
