Equipment Operation: Operating and performing basic maintenance on small plant and equipment, such as brush cutters, edgers, and commercial ride-on mowers, in accordance with manuals and good practice.
General Duties: Carrying out various labouring duties as directed to ensure work is completed neatly and efficiently.
Safety & Compliance: Maintaining a safe workplace for yourself, your team, and the public by following workplace health and safety guidelines.
Administration: Completing basic job accounting tasks, including timesheets, plant hire records, and stores documentation.
Public Interaction: Handling enquiries from residents and members of the public in a timely, courteous, and helpful manner.
Continuous Improvement: Participating in team processes to initiate and implement improvements in work practices and customer service.
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this position, you should possess a blend of experience and the following qualifications:
Licensing: A current ‘C’ Class Driver’s License is essential.
Communication Skills: Basic numeracy, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide a free flow of information within the team.
Professionalism: A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, safely, and ethically under supervision.
Technical Competence: The ability to operate and maintain small tools and plant equipment in good order.
Values: A commitment to accountability and transparency in all work tasks.
Desirable Assets: A current “MR” Class Drivers Licence and a General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) WH&S Competency Card (White Card) are highly regarded but not mandatory.
