This is a key hire, replacing a high-performing consultant on an "extremely warm" desk with established clients and live roles that generated approximately $200K in Gross Profit (GP) in the last four months. The Opportunity: A 360-Degree Role with Immediate Impact
We are seeking a proactive, competent, and confident Senior Recruitment Consultant to take on a 360-degree permanent and technical recruitment role. You will step directly into active roles while simultaneously taking ownership of new client acquisition to drive business growth.
Your focus will be on permanent placements in the defence sector, specializing in technical roles (engineering, project management, logistics, ICT), with key responsibilities including:
End-to-end recruitment for permanent, senior-level roles in the Above-the-Line and below the line defence sectors..
New business development, client hunting, and leveraging the existing connections on the desk.
Consulting with and expanding relationships within Federal Government and Department of defence clients.
Playing a crucial sales role to complement the existing team's strong delivery expertise.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in defence recruitment, with a strong understanding of technical and permanent placements.
Essential Candidate Profile:
Experience in permanent recruitment with a strong interest in technical roles (e.g., engineering, project management).
Prior experience recruiting for defence roles (either ATL or BTL clients) or an intimate knowledge of the defence sector and associated job titles.
A strong, confident, and competent sales personality capable of both account management and active client acquisition.
We are also open to considering exceptional candidates from related fields who possess the right aptitude:
Account Managers with defence experience who are willing to take on a strong sales component.
Candidates with a strong technical recruitment background, potentially with Government (GV) experience, who are keen to specialize in defence.
Veterans (Army, Navy, Air Force) looking to transition into recruitment, provided they possess a proactive, sales-oriented personality.
