The Opportunity
Are you a highly motivated, people-focused professional ready to leverage your sales expertise in the rewarding government sector? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Partnership Specialist in Melbourne who thrives on client engagement and driving new business opportunities within Randstad’s Public Sector specialism. This role is pure sales and business development, focusing on securing new job requisitions that are then passed on to our expert recruitment teams.
As our Senior Partnership Specialist, you will be the key relationship builder across state, local, and federal government sectors. The position involves managing and nurturing existing relationships while proactively engaging in new business development, particularly targeting growth with smaller statutory authorities and local governments. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a warm desk with solid existing relationships and grow its historical value significantly.
Key Responsibilities
... - Execute consistent, high-impact business development (BD) activities to register new job opportunities.
- Cultivate relationships in key specialist corporate areas, including Accountancy, Finance, and HR.
- Maximize growth within current accounts and strategically pursue new government departments through cold sales.
- The role operates within a supportive, high-performance sales framework.
Your Profile
We are looking for a polished and professional individual who values process and procedure while maintaining a dynamic, growth-oriented mindset.
- This role is ideal for sales specialists who prefer meeting and engaging with clients, rather than day-to-day recruitment tasks.
- The ideal candidate would be comfortable communicating effectively in a specialist corporate environment.
- A background that demonstrates an understanding of the recruitment process is beneficial, but the primary focus is sales and business development
- A successful candidate possesses the drive to seek out new growth and push boundaries in a professional manner, always respecting the necessary procedural "guardrails" of the government sector.
