Are you a data-driven professional with a knack for turning complex information into strategic gold? We are looking for an Insights Officer (AO7) to join a dynamic team in Brisbane CBD on an initial contract until 30 June 2026. In this role, you will bridge the gap between raw data and actionable advice, utilising both traditional research and AI-powered tools to support initiatives. If you enjoy high-level stakeholder engagement and creating impactful reports that influence state and national policy, this role is for you.
What You Will Do:- Conduct complex research and data analysis on trade, economic, and policy issues at state, national, and global levels.
- Develop strategic insights using both human-led and Artificial Intelligence powered sources to provide pragmatic advice to diverse audiences.
- Produce impactful products and high-quality briefings, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research to identify data-driven tactical opportunities and support operational teams.
- Manage ad hoc data requests to identify specific strategic insights that drive client engagement and trade outcomes.
- Proven expertise in data analysis and the ability to formulate meaningful advice from multiple complex information sources.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to build trusted networks across private and public sector organisations.
- Experience in communication strategies and negotiation, with the ability to liaise effectively across different cultures.
- Ability to develop work programs and standardised tools for critical thinking and analytical approaches.
- Strategic relationship building skills to foster commitment toward long-term growth and overcoming investment and migration challenges
