About the role:
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will operate at the highest level of the trade. Unlike residential or light commercial work, this role focuses on high-capacity industrial systems—such as ammonia refrigeration, centrifugal chillers, and process cooling towers—that support manufacturing plants, chemical processing, and massive cold-distribution centers.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, test, and maintain temperature control systems like industrial chillers, heaters, and AC units to make sure they are running correctly and safely.
- Find and fix common mechanical or electrical problems with cooling and heating equipment.
- Perform regular oil changes, filter swaps, and general upkeep for generators and other heavy machinery.
- Handle big repair jobs at the shop, including taking apart and replacing large engine or cooling components.
- Help and train other crew members to make sure the whole team knows how to work on the equipment properly.
Requirements:
- Trade qualification: Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Proven experience in refrigeration
- Driver's licence
