Randstad is partnering with a major local client to recruit an essential HR Truck Driver / Civil Maintenance Hand/Waste Management for their infrastructure team. This is a unique opportunity for a safety-focused driver with a current HR Licence who is looking to grow into a multi-skilled maintenance role.
The Opportunity
This role is essential to supporting the client’s daily operations, ensuring critical road and drainage infrastructure is maintained safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
Key Duties Include:
Heavy Vehicle Operation: Safe driving of the Heavy Rigid (HR) drainage truck and other fleet vehicles as necessary for daily maintenance tasks.
Road & Asphalt Repair: Conducting crucial civil maintenance, including pothole repairs and general asphalt and road surface repairs.
Civil Support: Assisting the crew with a range of construction tasks, with initial experience in concrete works (e.g., footpaths, kerb preparation) being an advantage.
Asset Installation: Assisting with the installation and maintenance of signage and street furniture.
WHS & Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS/OHS procedures, completing accurate daily logbooks, and performing pre-start vehicle inspections.

Essential Qualifications
Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence.
Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Demonstrated commitment to a Safety-First culture.
Highly Desirable Experience
Some exposure or basic experience in concrete works or civil waste management.
Familiarity with road maintenance materials or processes.
A clean driving record and strong communication skills.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills in drainage maintenance.
