Randstad has partnered with a leading environmental services provider to recruit dedicated Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers for on-hire assignments based out of their Launceston depot.

The Role
Operating out of the Launceston depot, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient curbside collection of residential and commercial wheelie bins (waste, recycling, and organics) using a modern side-loader vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Heavy Rigid (HR) side-loader waste vehicles in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.
Complete daily curbside collection routes across the Launceston region within designated timeframes.
Perform mandatory pre-start and post-operational vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate digital or paper logbooks and run sheets via on-board systems.
Adhere strictly to NHVR (National Heavy Vehicle Regulator) regulations and safety protocols.
Represent the brand professionally to the local community.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking safety-first drivers who take pride in their work and have a strong work ethic.
Essential Criteria:
A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Open License (or higher) with a clean driving record.
A current Commercial Driver Medical (or willingness to obtain one).
Proven experience operating heavy vehicles (prior experience in waste management or side-loader operations is highly regarded, but not essential—comprehensive training is provided).
Strong knowledge of the Launceston geography and local road networks.
A reliability-focused mindset with the availability for early morning starts.
