The Role
- Pay Rate: AO5 $69.21 - $75.09 + Super
- Location: Brisbane CBD.
- Contract Length:until 22nd May 2026, with potential permanent transition.
Your Responsibilities
Working within a PC environment, you will deliver high-quality creative products across a variety of platforms. Your day-to-day will include:
- Creative Production: Developing assets for web, digital, and print, including social media, video, animation, publications, and marketing materials.
- Software Expertise: Utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro) to deliver innovative solutions.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and internal stakeholders to interpret briefs and respond to feedback.
- Brand Integrity: Ensuring all designs comply with whole-of-government branding, style guides, and standards.
- Project Management: Managing multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in an agile environment.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will be assessed on the following:
- Technical Excellence: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud and an awareness of emerging multimedia trends.
- Experience: While no formal degree is mandatory, at least five years of practical experience as a Graphic Designer is highly regarded, particularly with experience in video creation and animation.
- Experience working within the Queensland Government, and familiarity with QG brand guidelines, would be highly regarded.
- Strategic Prioritisation: Ability to manage tasks efficiently in line with team commitments.
- Communication: A clear and succinct communication style that resonates with diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptability: A proactive approach to challenges and a commitment to seeking feedback for continuous growth.
- Eligibility: Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with full work rights.
