About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Brand and Digital, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the Brisbane 2032 brand to life on the world stage. You’ll deliver world-class visual content across external marketing, digital channels, and event branding, ensuring our identity remains consistent, inclusive, and engaging across every touchpoint. While your primary focus is driving high-impact external communications, you’ll also provide vital creative support for our internal design needs, ensuring the Games’ vision is felt from the inside out.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce creative assets for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, social media, print, and events.
- Support the development and implementation of the Brisbane 2032 visual identity across all communications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver design solutions that meet strategic objectives and brand guidelines.
- Create presentations, infographics, and visual storytelling materials for both internal and external audiences.
- Assist in the development of branded templates and toolkits for consistent use across the organisation.
- Contribute to the creative direction and execution of event branding and signage.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Provide design support for internal communications, staff engagement initiatives, and corporate documents.
- Maintain and organise digital asset libraries and ensure version control and accessibility.
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance creative output.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 6+ years’ professional experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work across digital and print.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), with strong technical execution skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading design projects from concept through to delivery, including campaign development, brand identity, and large-scale event collateral.
- Deep understanding of branding, typography, layout, and visual storytelling, with the ability to elevate and evolve brand expression.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with marketing, communications, and executive teams.
- Experience mentoring junior designers or contributing to creative direction within a team.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or UX/UI design is highly desirable.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in design.
- Tertiary qualification in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
