Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art automotive distribution centre in Moorebank. This is a dual-capability role requiring expertise in both High-Reach (narrow aisle) and Counterbalance operations.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be the "all-rounder" of the warehouse—transitioning between high-level stock replenishment and the heavy-duty loading/unloading of automotive components.
Key Responsibilities
Dual-Machine Operation: Seamlessly transition between High-Reach forklifts (operating up to 6–8 levels) and Counterbalance trucks for yard and dock work.
Freight Management: Loading and unloading semi-trailers and containers, ensuring all automotive stock (from fragile glass to heavy engines) is handled with zero damage.
Inventory Control: Utilizing RF scanners to pick and pack orders with 100% accuracy, maintaining the integrity of our high-value inventory.
Bulk Handling: Safely maneuvering oversized or oddly shaped automotive pallets and stillages across the warehouse floor.
Receiving & Dispatch: Verifying paperwork and ensuring all inbound/outbound goods meet our strict quality standards before processing.
Requirements
Licensing: Current and valid LF Forklift License is mandatory.
Proven Experience: Demonstrated history operating both High-Reach and Counterbalance forklifts in a busy industrial or 3PL environment.
Automotive Aptitude: Previous experience in automotive parts, heavy machinery, or industrial logistics is highly regarded.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate digital warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF guns.
Physical Capability: High level of spatial awareness and the ability to perform manual handling/lifting as required
