- Rate: $35.84 per hour
- Hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week (2 days per week, 8 hours per day).
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 6-month temporary contract
- Location: Newcastle
- Hybrid Options: Flexible work arrangements
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake a range of administrative services to support multidisciplinary teams, comprising general administration, maintenance of records and filing systems, collate statistical data.
- Deliver an efficient and customer focused service when answering enquiries and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including when undertaking reception duties, and referring or escalating queries appropriately.
- Complete accurate and timely audio transcribing and typing of reports, which may include Post Mortem reports, radiology, toxicology, histopathology and neuropathology reports.
- Manage travel and other organisational arrangements including conference bookings for the multidisciplinary teams as required.
- Maintain stationery, stores and process purchase orders/payments, as well as sourcing and obtaining quotes for various equipment items.
- Provide an administration support service for Forensic Pathologists as necessary, which may include diary management, typing of correspondence, booking travels, collating and providing documentation for subpoena requests, court appearances, crime review and case review, whilst abiding by confidentiality guidelines.
Skills & Experience Required
- Technical Skills: Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM with 98% accuracy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Medical Knowledge: Demonstrated sound knowledge of medical terminology.
- Emotional Resilience: Ability to work effectively in an environment with regular exposure to traumatic information and distressed clients.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work under limited direction within a multidisciplinary team.
